Bishop MacCaille had a church on the hill  North West of the graveyard.   The graveyard is on the Eastern slope of the hill.Sometimes men had to pull other men up the hill when they were carrying the coffins to the graveyard. The  last burial took place in 1952. The woman's name was Mary-Anne Hoey.One day we went on a visit to the old graveyard. These are some of the inscriptions on the gravestones. 
Briget Sulliven, 17th March 1886, age 7 years.
Margaret Mary Sullivan , 27th February 1888, age 7 months.
Joseph Sullivan, Kilcorbery, 8th May 1914.
Erected by Thos. Reed in memory of his wife Elizabeth Reed alias Scully who departed December 16th 1772 aged 66 years. 
Michael Mooney died 18th July 1895, 75 years of age.
Eilish Casey died 13th February 1901, 80 years age.  Erected by sons Seamus and Sean.
